    Well I was supposed to write 3000 words, but I didn't quite get that far. I am very satisfied that I wrote so much, because of the fact that I've had a terrible writers block for about three years.

    I have the idea of my novel so clear in my head now. It's like a movie playing over and over. I need to write it down, but to be able to do that I need discipline. And I surely lack it. I'm trying to do some kind of schedule so that the writing becomes a routine. Is that a good idea? I really wonder how published writers, with contracts weighing on their backs, are able to write their stuff without the writers block? I'm like running into the same wall over and over...

    I'm reading Inkdeath, by Cornelia Funke, by the moment and I'm absolutely adoring it. I'm longing for the movie so badly I have to make a fangirl squee sometimes. It kinda scares people when I do that. Holy crap, how much I love the frikkin trailer! I can't believe this movie will be anything less than epic. <3 Now I really need to calm down and read a bit.

    I kinda, sorta like to think of myself as a writer too (i feel really weird saying that) so I sympathize with your pain. Sometimes I have times when I'm writing 5 things a day then I have months of dry spells. Usually to try to prevent writers block I try to write like 5 sentence mini-stories (cheesy I know) but it helps sometimes.

    @lovelyangel_791 - But that's a good way to tackle the block. At least your writing something. :) I will think about when I can't write. Thank you!

    I often deal with writer's block.  I can have an idea for a poem, story, or song, and I keep this book so that I can write the ideas down when I have no creative juices.   Sometimes, it is the opposite with me too, though.  I feel like I could sit and write a really good song, but I don't have an idea one!  that's where the "idea book"  comes in real handy!  You're welcome by my Campfire to read anytime!  I am always looking for critical readers in order to make me a better writer!

    For 80+ consecutive days of writing since I started join Xanga (which I write a novel now in my Xanga site), I never have writer's block before. Perhaps this is due to my writing is imagination driven, not inspiration. In fact, I plan everything that I need before I write so there is no need to bring something new, despite the fact that I write spontaneously. Hopefully this info helps you.

    What helps me write is listening to songs that kind of "go along" with what I want to write.

    Like, if I'm writing a depressing story, I'll listen to depressing songs.

    If that makes sense. =P

    I watched the trailer..

    I AGREE!! *earnumbing high pitched voice*

    It looks so good.. i have never read the book though.. Do ou think it matters or should i read it 1st?

    I thought it was called inkheart?? right?

    I saw your blog in a xanga plug. And I came to visit because there was a photo of Paul Bettany as Dustfinger.

    I thought I would let you know you are not alone in this fangirl squeeing. I squee frequently. I squeed just yesterday when I saw the Inkheart trailer on the tube. And I adored Inkdeath.

    @cowboy_christian - That's a good idea. I have that problem too sometimes. I want to write, but no ideas come to mind. :/ Maybe I should start a journal too..?
    @Murazrai - It helps :D Thank you!
    @inhalerxxlove - TEA IS LIFE!!! :D
    @TakingxOverxMe - Yeah, I do that too! Usually I listen to movie soundtracks wihtout lyrics. ^^ It helps a bit.
    @tickle_me_pink88 - I think you should watch the movie and then read the book. :) The movie will probably be a lot suckier than the book. Yes, the first book is Inkheart, then it's Inkspell and Inkdeath.
    @MACH5Mackenzie - Yey! Another Inkheart squeeing fangirl! :''D I thought I was the only one.

    @NoHeroJustNerd - Come to think about it (after reread your entry), I try to avoid writing something too long to prevent possible writer's block. If I need something long, I will try to do it in parts. Writing for lots of words of time might break your feel/ability to write. Thanks for your compliment.

  • NoHeroJustNerd

    @Murazrai - Maybe I shouldn't try to write so much, but focus on the quality and feeling. I'll have to find what I'm comfortable with. I think that's the most important. :)
